A lovely place to stay in the heart of the English Lake-District
Served between 8.30am and 9.15am.
Available are : fruit juice, cereals, fruit and yoghurt together with an extensive array of gluten free options. Porridge is also available with banana, honey or preserves. Breakfast is served with tea or coffee (decaffeinated versions of which are available) and thick sliced white, wholemeal or gluten free toast.
Our full English breakfast consists of a large handmade Cumberland sausage, two thick rashers of non smoked back bacon, tomato, mushrooms, baked beans, a large free range egg (poached or fried) and black pudding (if requested the previous night).
Our vegetarian option consists of two good quality vegetarian sausages together with two large free range eggs, either poached, scrambled or fried, beans, two tomatoes and mushrooms.
Our lighter alternatives include
Eggs on toast, poached or scrambled, together with smoked salmon if requested the previous night.
Beans on toast or any derivative of the full English breakfast.
Our handmade sausage, bacon and black pudding are sourced from Our local Windermere Butchers located approximately 600 metres from the Guest House. All meats are from locally reared animals. Our large free range eggs are sourced from a local farm and are delivered twice weekly. All ingredients for our breakfasts are sourced locally wherever possible to reduce our carbon footprint.
We offer a variety of gluten free cereals together with gluten free porridge and bread and will endeavour wherever possible to cater for any dietary requirements. However we would ask that if the issue is of a more complex nature than gluten intolerance or vegetarianism that we are made aware at the time of booking to ensure that we are suitably prepared.
Our aim is to see that no one leaves our dining room hungry!
